Abi Giles-HaighCapGemini, Director of Analytics and Innovation

Dr. Abi Giles-Haigh has over fifteen years of experience working with data from database management, report writing, advanced analytics and AI. Previously, she was part of the Data Analytics Team at the NHSBSA, identifying savings and improving patient care. Abi is a technical evangelist in predictive/prescriptive analytics and data-informed decision-making. She holds a PhD in computational modelling and a Bachelor of Science in computing science from Newcastle University.

Alex NuijtenallApex

Alex Nuijten is a director at allAPEX, a company specializing in Oracle database development with PL/SQL and Oracle Application Express (APEX).
Besides his consultancy work, he conducts training classes, mainly in APEX, SQL and PL/SQL. Alex has been a speaker at numerous international conferences, such as ODTUG, Oracle Open World, UKOUG, IOUG, OUGF, BGOUG, OGH APEX World and OBUG. For his presentations, Alex received several Best Speaker awards.
Alex has written many articles in Oracle-related magazines, and he regularly writes about Oracle Application Express and Oracle database development on his blog “Notes on Oracle” (nuijten.blogspot.com). Alex is co-author of the book “Oracle APEX Best Practices” (Packt Publishers), “Real World SQL and PL/SQL” (Oracle Press) and “Modern Oracle Database Programming (Apress).
Because of his contributions to the Oracle community, Alex was awarded the Oracle ACE Director award in August 2010.

Andrei ManoliuOracle, Database Product Management

I started working with the Oracle Database at 9i firstly as a developer, learning Oracle Forms and Reports on the way. Later I changed the role to being a DBA for most of my career managing 9i, 10g, 11g, and 12c databases. Taking the step to a presales position or later a post-sales position got me closer to the Oracle Cloud and the database family services there.
Now I am part of the Product Management Database Platform Technology Solutions team helping partners and customers understand more about the Oracle Database in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Ambili ThottathilPrincipal Consultant- Analytics at Rittman Mead

Ambili is a Principal Consultant in Analytics with Rittman Mead Consulting LTD with an industry experience of around 18 years. Her special focus is on Oracle Analytics, Oracle Digital Assistant, Oracle Database, Big Data and Graph DB primarily. Ambili is a passionate trainer who has trained many batches in Oracle DB development, Oracle Big Data and Oracle Analytics Cloud as a passion. Ambili has been a frequent Speaker at various international Oracle user group conferences since 2017 and is certified as an Oracle Cloud Platform Enterprise Analytics Professional, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Digital Assistant Professional and Oracle Certified Professional in Oracle Database Development. She is also a certified associate in Oracle Machine Learning using Autonomous Database, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Cloud Data Management. Bruno ReisOracle Sweden, Senior Technology Software Account Engineer

Bruno Reis da Silva is an EMEA Technology Software Account Engineer in the Nordics region for Technology Software. With over a decade of experience in Information Technology, he has held various roles, including Oracle Database Administrator, Technical Architect, Solutions Architect, Lead Database Administrator, and Presales. Before joining Oracle in November 2023, Bruno was honored with the Oracle ACE award in Hungary and Sweden. His professional journey includes contributions to IBM in Brazil, Hungary, and Sweden, as well as roles at EpicoTech and Playtech in Sweden. He earned a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Unimetrocamp in Brazil, a Master’s degree in Data Science from Luleå University of Technology in Luleå, Sweden, and another Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Blekinge, Sweden.

Christian GohmannAccenture – Tech Architecture Associate Manager

Christian Gohmann is currently working as Tech Architecture Associate Manager and Instructor at Accenture in Dusseldorf, Germany. His main focus lies in helping customers in the areas of architecture planning, implementation, and migration – with a specialization in high availability solutions, like Data Guard and Oracle RAC.

Since 2006, Christian Gohmann has been working with Oracle and the Oracle Database and worked on various projects for customers in German-speaking areas.

Besides his consultancy activities, he is the main developer and the responsible person for db*BACKUP – a product distributed by Accenture, which is responsible for the intelligent backup and recovery of an Oracle database.

Dani Schnider – Callista

Dani Schnider is an Oracle ACE Director and works as Principal Oracle & DWH Consultant for Callista, a Swiss IT service provider for consulting and engineering. He has been working in database consulting for over 20 years, from 1999 to 2022 for Trivadis in Switzerland. Dani works with Oracle databases since 1994, since 1997 mainly in data warehouse projects.

Frédéric Descamps MySQL Community Manager / Architect at Oracle

“@lefred” has been consulting OpenSource and MySQL for over 20 years. After graduating in Management Information Technology, Frédéric started his career as a developer for a multinational company. He will then opt for a different career joining one of the first Belgian start-up fully dedicated to Open Source projects around GNU/Linux. In 2011, that lefred joined Percona, one of the leading MySQL-based specialists, and became a performance expert. He decided to join the MySQL Community Team in 2016 as a MySQL Community Manager for EMEA & APAC. Georgi KodinovTeam Lead, Oracle MySQL Server General team

Georgi “Joro” Kodinov has more than 20 years of experience working with databases. He and his team areworking on MySQL server security features for the MySQL server among other things. Prior to diving into database kernel development, Georgi served as an IT manager for a bank in Bulgaria.

Julian DontcheffDistinguished Product Manager for JSON and PL/SQL at Oracle

Julian is the Database Product Manager for PL/SQL and JSON at Oracle Corporation.

In the past, Julian was the Global Database Lead of Accenture. His primary responsibility was managing and leading the Global Database Platforms which included Autonomous Cloud, IaaS, PaaS, Database Services, Engineered Systems, Security and all other areas falling under Database Engineering (all database brands). He was also the Global Managing Director of the Accenture-Enkitec Group.

Before Accenture, Julian headed Nokia’s Database Technology team and also the Continual Service Improvement unit in Nokia Computing. The DBA team took care of about 2300 databases worldwide.

Julian has experience and knowledge in the retail, banking, telecom and high-tech sector. He has been a consultant and database architect for several Fortune 500 companies and global IT projects

Julian Frey is founder of CITE GmbH. During his more than 10 years of consulting he has gained a lot of experience in many areas, especially in the areas of HA, Engineered Systems and Monitoring. He is a frequent speaker and founder of the Oracle Beer Bern Meetup Group. Julian is a member of the Oracle ACE Program as an Oracle ACE Pro.

Karin PatengeProduct Management Spatial & Graph, Oracle

Karin Patenge is a Product Manager for Oracle’s Spatial and Graph Technologies. She works closely with customers, partners, and tech communities in mostly Europe, and the Middle East. She engages with developers, solution architects, data engineers & analysts in order to bring added value to their projects by integrating spatial and graph capabilities into solution architectures. Karin has a master’s degree in Computer Science and has followed the UNIGIS postgraduate study program. My name is Marcin Przepiorowski. I’m working with Oracle technology stack since 2001. Menno HoogendijkOracle APEX Development Team Member

Menno Hoogendijk has been a member of the Oracle APEX Development Team since 2019. He works on features like Data Exports, Report Printing, and Template Components. He has been working with APEX since 2008.

Michel SchildmeijerLead Technologist

Michel started his career as a medical officer in the Royal Dutch Airforce, with a focus on pharma. After the air force, he continued in pharma, followed by time working in clinical pharmacology. While there, he transitioned to IT by learning UNIX and MUMPS, and developed a system for managing patients’ medical records. As his career developed, his responsibility shifted from a deep technical perspective to a more visionary role.

At the end of 2011, Michel authored a book on WebLogic Administration for beginners. He joined Qualogy in April 2012 where he expanded his repertoire significantly, serving a wide range of customers with his knowledge about Java Application Servers, Middleware and Application Integration. He also increased his multiple-industry knowledge in his role as Solutions or IT architect by working for customers in a range of sectors, including financials, telecom, public transportation and government organizations.

In 2012, he received the IT Industry-recognized title of Oracle ACE for being an ambassador and community leader in his area of expertise. In 2019, this was enhanced to Oracle ACE Director. Michel is asked regularly to speak about technology and the impact of innovation at national and international conferences such as KubeCon, Oracle OpenWorld, Oracle Community Tours and others. He contributes actively to the OpenSource community and solutions regarding containerization, CI/CD and DevOps.

I have a master’s degree in Corporate Communication and 10+ years of experience in communications planning and strategy, internal and external communication tactics, blogging and content writing, social media strategy and monitoring, and project management.

Øyvind Isene is an independent consultant living in Arendal, Norway. He works mainly with the Oracle database, both as a DBA and a developer. He started as an Oracle DBA in 1997 and has managed Oracle on a few Unix dialects, mostly on Linux. These days it is more about the data, how to explore them and making life easier for other people by doing the right things in the database. He enjoys analytics, performance optimisation, troubleshooting and helping developers get along with the database.

Piet is a Database Consultant and DBA.
He is in IT since 1987, and specialises in Oracle-, Postgres- and Databases-related technology since 1994. He combines conceptual knowledge and technical know-how with working-experience in small and large organisations, both local and international.

He also invests a lot of effort in maintaining a network of Like-Minded database-specialists worldwide and is a regular speaker at international user group events and symposia.

Piet likes to Travel, preferably by motorcycle, speaks various languages more or less acceptably, and is alway interested in learning how to say “Dober Dan” and “Hvala” in a few more languages (provided he can learn it on site).

Richard MartensLead Developer at Smart4solutions

Richard Martens has been involved in information technology for more than 20 years. He started as a web developer using the Oracle database as no more than data storage. Richard has been responsible for major European multilingual websites and has been working with the Oracle database since 2000. During those years, he developed himself using a multitude of technologies and specialized in PL/SQL and Oracle APEX. Richard has been working primarily with PLSQL and APEX since 2005. With APEX, he combines the things he loves most: the Oracle database and web technologies.

Roel HartmanAPEX Consulting

Roel started a long time ago using Oracle RDBMS 5, Oracle Forms 2.3, RPT/RPF and Oracle*Case 4.5. Since over 10 years he focuses mainly on Oracle Application Express.
Roel has been a speaker on UKOUG, OOW, Collaborate, ODTUG’s Kscope and a number of local Oracle User Groups.
Within ODTUG he acted as the APEX Content Lead for the Kscope14 and KScope15 conferences and currently is a member of the Board of Directors.
